Fifa released its latest ranking today and Nigeria’s national team- the Super Eagles have dropped to 67th place.
The Super Eagles slipped five places to be ranked 14th best African side behind Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, Cape Verde, Tunisia, Congo DR, Guinea, Congo, Cameroon, Morocco and Mali.
This comes after the tea was unable to defeat Egypt in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualification doubleheader in Kaduna and Alexandria – and their losing the ticket to feature at the continental fiesta billed for Gabon. This is their second absence in a row.
