Leadership is changing and the companies that are leading are those that foster collaboration an build great teams.Think Google, Facebook etc- they foster the team spirit .
Most times, fostering the right environment lies on the shoulders of the leaders. Traditional leadership style kills the team spirit, collaborative leadership style fosters it.
So what is the difference between traditional leaders and collaborative leaders? I’l give you 8
1. The traditional leader believes that power comes from their position of authority, the collaborative leader believes that power is greatest in a collective team
2. The traditional leader maintains ownership of information, the collaborative leader shares information and knowledge.
3. The traditional leader sometimes listens to suggestions and ideas from their team while the collaborative leader encourages ideas and suggestions from their team.
