2 Nigerians to Watch in Midweek

Alex Iwobi

Arsenal seem to unearth a young and upcoming talent every season, and this time around the spotlight is on young Alex Iwobi. The Nigerian has played superbly when given the chance, and with their tie against FC Barcelona all but sealed up, manager Arsene Wenger might just give him a runout to bolster his confidence and add to his experience. The Blaugrana will not be an easy team to face, but Iwobi has been daring in his performances and might be exactly what the Gunners need.

Hope Akpan

Hope Akpan is back in action for Blackburn Rovers this week when they take on Ipswich Town on Tuesday, and if the head-to-head stats between the two sides is anything to go by, this is sure to be a fiercely contested match-up. With 10 and 11 league wins apiece, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top, and one can expect Hope Akpan to be right in the thick of things.
